# Launch Timeline

On Asterisk, time is segmented into weekly epochs, and emissions for each period are determined through a gauge voting system.

To guarantee a successful launch and encourage optimal conduct from the outset, the protocol's capabilities will be introduced incrementally over the first three epochs.
